Awoke this morning to a fire alarm--false alarm, fortunately, same as the one yesterday evening, apparently caused (somehow) by hotel renovations. Finished the prep for my art demo earlier than expected, so I was able to leave just after 1:00. (Could have left even earlier, but that seemed excessive.) Checked into my room, put my stuff in the art show, picked up my programming schedule, but no badges available yet. Okay, so I'm on another panel, one of the Doctor Who ones, plus probably doing an art demo. I did figure out last night what I was going to do for that instead of yet another mayhaps (that's what I did the last two demos; it's getting repetitious). The Lunacon program is up, although there will probably still be some changes. I'm hoping they'll add me to another panel; two isn't enough for a free membership. There's even an empty slot for an art demo; I told them I could do that, but I'd really be scrambling to do the necessary prep in time since I wasn't expecting to need to.

For my art demo at Lunacon, I made part of another mayhaps. The front and back ends were finished before I went; I demonstrated cutting out, sewing, turning, and stuffing the feet, and I set in the eyes; I also showed them how it was constructed and talked about designing it and other animals. Lunacon is planning to have more craft demos this year. Should I tell them I'm willing to demo my weird stuffed animals (aka working with fur fabric) again?

I know exactly what I'd do this time.

On the other hand, it would mean taking *another* bag, in addition to all the art plus the masquerade pieces.

Demo went well. Several interested people, plus a few drifting in and out. Did finish the pig during the hour. Yay! Tomorrow it goes in the art show. The artists reception is still going on, but I need to crash now.

If you were going to a demonstration of "Weird Stuffed Animals," would you rather watch me
1) finish a flying pig (cut out and sew last half of head, attach neck, turn, attach wings, stuff)
or
2) make a bizarre plush monster (upper right) from start to finish?
